AIIMS report on Sushant Singh Rajput's death proves we were right: Mumbai Police

Mumbai Police commissioner, Parambir Singh, says that they have not yet received any official report from the AIIMS hospital and have got to know about their findings through the media. He also said that the AIIMS hospital doctor panel's findings are the same as Mumbai Police, thereby proving that their investigation was correct.

He said, "We have not received any official reports from AIIMS hospital. However, through news channels we came to know about it. The findings are same that the Mumbai Police found in its investigations.

"Investigations by the Mumbai Police and Cooper Hospital doctors was correct. Lot of allegations were put on us but the report from AIIMS proves we were right."

He also said that the Sushant Singh Rajput death case was investigated by the Mumbai Police properly. He said, "From the very beginning in Sushant Singh Rajput case, proper investigations were done. CBI too is a professional agency."

Saying that each and every case with Mumbai Police is investigated properly, Param Bir Singh said, "Mumbai police is professional investigating agency. Each and every case with Mumbai police is investigated properly. We had full trust and faith in our investigations.

The Sushant Singh Rajput death case is presently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). A special panel of doctors from AIIMS had re-evaluated Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem and viscera reports. As per the forensic reports, Sushant Singh Rajput's death was a case of suicide.

Dr Sudhir Gupta, who led the AIIMS doctor's panel, told India Today, "Sushant's death is a case of suicide. Murder completely ruled out."

The AIIMS doctors had submitted their findings to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on September 29. The findings of the AIIMS medical board concurs with the findings of Cooper Hospital, where Sushant Singh Rajput's autopsy was conducted. Further, the circumstantial evidences also point it to be a case of suicide, with no foul play.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra home on June 14. The Mumbai Police had called it a case of suicide and had filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) the same day, after which they began investigating the case. The post-mortem report of the actor had also stated asphyxia due to hanging as the cause of death.
