SRK's charisma to Kiara Advani's style: Indian stars sparkle at Met Gala 2025

Shah Rukh Khan made a dapper debut at this year's Met Gala. The superstar wore a custom outfit by Sabyasachi. He was seen in a long Tasmanian superfine wool coat with Japanese horn buttons, a pleated satin kamarbandh, and a crepe de chine silk shirt. He carried a cane handcrafted in 18k gold with tourmalines, sapphires, old mine cut and brilliant cut diamonds.

A Met veteran, Priyanka Chopra appeared in a sharp Balmain outfit, inspired by classic tailcoats. The outfit had a sharply cinched waist, power shoulders, and sweeping hem. She completed her look with the Magnus Emerald Necklace by Bulgari, featuring a 241.06-carat emerald.

If there was someone who nailed the theme, then it was singer Diljit Dosanjh. The singer who scripted history at the Met Gala wore a custom white look by designer Prabal Gurung. His outfit featured a feathered turban and multiple diamond necklaces inspired by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. He also carried a lion-head sword (kirpan) as part of his ensemble.

Mother-to-be Kiara Advani made a striking debut at the Met Gala. She attended the prestigious event wearing a custom gown by Gaurav Gupta. Her outfit was titled ‘Bravehearts’ and featured a sculpted golden breastplate with two hearts symbolising motherhood. She wore it with a large white cape that was a tribute to André Leon Talley.

The Indian designer wore a custom look designed by his label. He wore a long hand-quilted court jacket and sherwani hand-dyed Murshidabad silk, paired with a satin shirt, black quilted trousers and kamarbandh, styled with custom embroidered shoes by Sabyasachi Accessories. His accessories included fine jewellery from the Bengal Royale collection.

Manish Malhotra made a grand debut at the Met Gala. For the night, he ditched the convention and stole attention into the spotlight in a sherwani cape, sculpted and subversive. Think Inverness Dandy meets Indian couture: rich black, hand embroidery, glass beadwork, and that commanding silhouette.

Isha Ambani wore a white corset-cape gown by Anamika Khanna. Her look included heirloom jewellery from her mother Nita Ambani’s collection.

Natasha Poonawalla wore a custom look by Manish Malhotra. The skirt was made from vintage Gara saris, styled with a vintage French lace bralette with pearls, a black Gara jacket, and a sculpted cravat by Atelier Biser.
