Karan Johar reveals why he named twins after his parents, wishes them on birthday

Filmmaker Karan Johar shared an adorable birthday wish for his children, Yash and Roohi Johar. Along with a heartwarming note, the 52-year-old director posted fun snapshots of himself with Yash and Roohi, who turned eight on Friday.

"My biggest achievement is one of being a father…," Karan Johar captioned an adorable click with Yash.

In his note, Karan also revealed why he named his twins after his parents, late filmmaker Yash Johar and his wife, Hiroo Johar.

"I named them after my parents because I felt beyond a lineage or a name, an emotion must continue… They are my world!!!" explained Karan.

The filmmaker concluded, "Happy birthday Roohi and Yash… My biggest prayer for you both is to be kind always (sic)."

Karan Johar's friends from the film industry, including Farah Khan, Kajol, Manish Malhotra and Malaika Arora, also wished his children on their eighth birthday.
