Mirzapur, one of India’s most popular OTT franchises, is set to make its big-screen debut. The makers on Tuesday announced that Mirzapur: The Movie will release in theatres worldwide on September 4, 2026.
The film marks the first-ever cinematic adaptation of the gritty crime drama universe that has enjoyed massive success on streaming. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur: The Movie is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment, with Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani serving as co-producers. The screenplay has been written by Puneet Krishna.
