Now the 32-year-old ad film and music video-maker thinks he has.</p><p> The outcome: a movie to be filmed in Rajasthan, to star Shatrughan Sinha, shot half in French and half in the Manganyari dialect, could be as bizarre as his subject. </p><p>Karna Bheel, a man with a 7ft 10 inch moustache, who at various points of his life - thought to have ended in 1987, headless in Kutch - was a bard, a murderer and dacoit. </p><p>"I don't want to get into urban angst and lesbianism in lower middle-class houses," says Desai. "I just want to do something that's so over the top and unexpected."<br><br>So <i>The Ballad of Karna Bheel</i>, says this hi-fi ex-Channel V producer, is his bit, different from "cinema of urban chic" like <i>Bombay Boys</i>. The film's narrative structure - told by five different people - is "inspired" by the fact that whatever Desai heard about Karna Bheel contradicted everything he had heard from someone else.</p><p> Filming begins early next year in Rajasthan and London DJ, State of Bengal, is composing the music. "I plan to kick some serious butt with this film."
