Touted to be the longest bar in Asia, it ensures that you almost never have to wait too long for a drink because there's ample space to take your pick. Popular with office goers in the business district of Lower Parel, Lord of the Drinks (LOTD) added to the party scene when it opened earlier this year with an extensive bar list and a new food menu. The interiors are done by furniture brand Bent Chair and feature eccentric highlights, colour blocking and a generous use of colour pop on the bar counter and walls with bold black and white stripes that break the visual monotony.Drink up: With more than 300 brands on the list with an extensive variety of spirits, liqueurs and wines, LOTD also stocks the AMA Chianti Classico from Italy that isn't very easy to find at bars in the city. Go for the classic cocktails or try new flavours with their "modern mixology" creations-melon twist, Asian cooler, mint papaya rita, the smokey chocolate martini and orange blossom. Tappa USP: Innovative cocktails made from homemade bittersIf you're looking for a place that dishes out food that is as good as the cocktails, then Tappa at Kamala Mills is a good pick. It stands between a restaurant and a pub and is certainly a good place to hang out with friends over foot tapping music and drinks. The highlight, besides the eclectic décor, is the list of bitters that find their way into the innovative cocktails. The mixologist deftly makes his bitters with barks, roots, flowers, herbs and spices and the menu boasts flavours like mixed berries, grapefruit, paan, chai, hibiscus, gooseberry and blue corn besides the more popular vanilla. uDRINK UP Tappa brings offbeat flavours and ingredients together to create drinks that are popular with the regulars. True Tramm Trunk is a vibrant nightspot with fun cocktails, good food and an easy going unpretentious vibe. It's a place you go to with a big group of friends when you don't want to burn a hole in your pocket. Their newest outlet in Bandra Kurla Complex sees office-goers throng the space for downtime. uSHAKEN AND STIRRED They go all out with their desi concoctions-the signature cocktails are the golarita, a classic margarita served like the quintessential Mumbai ice gola and goti soda. Also try their India-inspired cocktails like the tharra and gulabo from U.P, Santra and Badi Saunf from Mumbai and Laila from Bihar. TC127 as it's called by regulars borrows from Bombay of the 1950s for its décor with a touch of art deco nostalgia. The design and experience reflects the surrounding erstwhile mill and industrial land. uEAT THIS Try the mushroom pate, Japanese rice cakes, chicken liver mousse and steamed edamame. The butter poached prawns, seafood paella and veg ramen are also favourites on the menu. What to drink: The mixologist has gone all out with his match of flavours and liqueurs. Had a long week? The bartender will stir a refresher tonic with fresh lemongrass and mint; black star tonic with coffee and start anise gives you the much needed boost to party all evening. Locally grown ginger, pineapple, lemongrass, cucumber and thyme feature in the G and T list. Try the pineapple grove made with gin, pineapple, clove and tonic water and served with clove ice or the perfect-for-the-season. The signature gin and tonic list has the herbalist that comes on coriander-orange ice, gin-tleman's tonic that blends gin with jasmine tea and elderflower. Toast and Tonic has also an impressive cocktail menu with signature creations such as the banana ginger old fashioned that blends bourbon with banana and ginger syrup, bacon old fashioned with bacon-infused bourbon and bitters and the royal Bengal mojito that combines white rum with offbeat flavours like pineapple, gondhoraj lemon, and gur syrup. Sing along: The evening kickstarts with alternative and Indie music and moves on to R&B remixes of popular artists such as Daft Punk and Jeson Derula. Hearty meals: With a global touch to the menu, they offer small plates, hearty burgers and flatbreads with a selection of wholesome big plates.
