Sometime back the channel decided to hike this rate to Rs 8,000.<br><br>Rumour had it that the agitated companies had decided to boycott the channel and a programme like <i>Hum Aapke Hain Kountdown</i> had to be taken off the air.</p><p>Sony, however, says that it has gone back to its old rates and that <i>Hum Aapke</i>... ended as it had run its normal course. So did the music industry win?</p><p>"It's not a question of victory. We hiked the price because of the high viewership of the shows but the music companies said that their budgets couldn't support it. We have reached a settlement on the issue," says Sony CEO Kunal Das gupta. Twenty people, including women and children, were left stranded 75 feet above the ground after an amusement ride malfunctioned at an exhibition held at Codissia Grounds in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore. The incident occurred on Tuesday night when around 20 visitors, including three children, were stuck on the ride, prompting police and the Fire and Rescue Department to respond. Using a sky lift vehicle, the rescue team worked for roughly 45 minutes to safely bring everyone down. The incident has raised safety concerns, following a similar case in Chennai last year where visitors were left stranded on an amusement ride, highlighting the need for periodic inspections and strict safety checks of such attractions.
