Quite a turnaround for a guy who once insisted, "There's space for only one private channel in a regional language ... it's only Sun TV in Tamil, now and ever." </p><p>Considering the cake is too small for more than one player and recession is the order of the day, there seems little logic in creating competition on his own turf. Maran thinks otherwise. He plans to use the new channel to take in all the ads rejected by Sun TV due to restrictions on commercial time.
