Their 121 m long creation has been certified as the longest sari in the world. "The idea," says Rajesh, 23, "was to commemorate the 50th year of Independence." So they took some silk, dyed it in saffron, white and green, and sprinkled it with 127 hand-painted portraits of women-from Mamta Kulkarni to Princess Di, Hillary Clinton to Mother Teresa.
