The National Cricket Stadium is a multi-use stadium in St George's, Grenada. The newest West Indian stadium to host a Test match, the National Cricket Stadium (Queen's Park) at St. George's is one of the most famous cricket grounds in the West Indies. Other than cricket matches, even sports like football are played at this venue. The stadium holds the capacity to accommodate 15000 people and hosted several matches during the 2007 ICC World Cup. The ground was renovated in 2000, but unfortunately a hurricane destroyed much of it in 2004. It is also known as the Queen's Park. It became the 84th Test venue after hosting a Test match between West Indies and New Zealand in 2002. However, the stadium has once again been renovated now and is waiting to host an international match. The stadium was established in 1999 and has two ends which are River and D'arbeau Ends. The stadium was constructed for the cost of $5 million. The venue is also the home of the West Indies' Cricket Academy.
