Watch| PM Modi to visit Ayodhya

The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the 'bhoomi pujan' ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya in August. The trust has proposed two dates for this ceremony -- August 3 and 5 -- depending on the PM's availability. Bhoomi pujan is a special ceremony in Hindusim that is performed before any construction work is started.

This decision was taken at a meeting called by the Trust today in Ayodhya.

The Trust has also made some changes to the temple's design. Instead of three domes, the temple will now have five domes. Besides this, the Trust has also revised the height of the temple and it will be higher than the one proposed in the maps.
