The ongoing CBI investigation into the recent stampede has led to extensive questioning of actor-turned-politician Vijay. According to updates from outside the CBI headquarters, officials have conducted more than two hours of inquiry and have recorded Vijay's statement. Key lines of questioning have focused on his actions during the incident, specifically addressing video evidence and arrangements for public safety. As stated in the transcript, 'his statement is being recorded' and 'he is not being confronted with any other person involved.' The CBI is now set to show Vijay documentary evidence, including agreements regarding event arrangements made between party functionaries and authorities. An inquiry has been ordered in Parliament after an MP was allegedly found smoking or vaping on the premises. According to India Today's Aishwarya Palliwan, the Speaker has taken cognizance of the incident following a formal complaint filed by Anurag Thakur. While a designated smoking room exists, the rules are clear that 'You cannot be smoking or vaping inside the house'. As part of the inquiry, forensic samples have been collected and sent for testing. The committee is awaiting the reports and will also summon the MP in question to hear their side of the story before making a final decision.
