'They gave him electric shocks': Family of BJP MLA Vungzagin Valte, who was attacked, narrates the horror

In an exclusive interview with India Today, the family of BJP Kuki MLA Vungzagin Valte, who was tortured and left to die, narrates the horror and their ordeal.

Talking about the attack on his father, Vungzagin Valte's son said, "First they blindfolded my dad and they brought him to one of the community halls. After that, they started giving him electric shocks. After giving him electric shocks, when my dad was feeling unconscious, they started beating him."

Vungzagin Valte, a BJP MLA, was attacked by a mob in Imphal on Thursday while he was returning from the state secretariat after a meeting with Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
