Sabarimala Gold Theft: SIT Suspects 4.5 Kg Siphoned Off; Reporter Shibi Mol on Unnikrishnan Potti Link

In this report, India Today's Shibi Mol details the Special Investigation Team's (SIT) findings in the Sabarimala gold theft case. The SIT suspects that approximately 4.5 kg of gold was siphoned off from the 42 kg of gold-clad copper plates handed over to the prime accused, Unnikrishnan Potti, for electroplating at Smart Creations in 2019. The probe, ordered by the Kerala High Court, reveals that gold is missing not just from the Dwarapalaka idols but also from the Shiva idol and Dasharatha plate. Shibi Mol explains that the accused allegedly used a chemical mixture to separate the gold.
