MK Stalin-led DMK has called for a protest against AIADMK's move of getting water supplied to Chennai from Vellore. Tamil Nadu CM K Palaniswami had announced that 10 million litre a day water would be transported from Jolarpettai in Vellore district to Chennai by train at a cost of Rs 65 crore.
DMK leaders claim that this move by AIADMK will lead to severe shortage of water in vellore.
