Maharashtra power tussle: Governor has given us 6 months to form govt, says Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said that Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has given 6 months to the party to form government in Maharashtra. Earlier in the day, President’s rule was imposed in Maharashtra as all the parties failed to stake claim to form government in the state.

The upper reaches of the Kashmir valley have received the season's first significant snowfall, marking the beginning of 'Chilai Kalan', the harshest period of winter. Weather forecasts indicate that the accumulation is expected to continue over the next 48 hours in several higher reaches. According to initial assessments, areas like Rajdhan Top and Sardana Top could receive up to two feet of snow. Moderate accumulation is predicted for Zojila, Sintham, and Margand, while popular tourist destinations such as Sonmarg and Gulmarg are likely to see light to moderate snowfall.
