Lok Sabha polls 2024: All about Narsapuram Constituency

Narsapuram, once notable for its role as an import trading hub in the 18th century, is now in the limelight as an important constituency during the Lok Sabha Elections in Andhra Pradesh. Currently under the leadership of Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju from the reigning YSRCP party, the constituency has over 15 lakh voters within its purview. Narsapuram holds seven sub-assembly constituencies and brims with history, having been an important import trading centre and hosting a ship manufacturing company since the 18th century. The Dutch traders' presence in the region around 1626 also adds to its rich past. Today, Narsapuram forms one of the 25 constituencies ahead of the Lok Sabha Assembly Elections. Both the ruling and opposition parties, YSRCP and Telugu Desam party (TDP), respectably, are gearing up to field their contestants in Narsapuram.
