Jayalalithaa death case: Panel rejects Apollo Hospital plea for medical board

Arumughaswamy Commission, which is probing the death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, rejected Apollo Hospitals' plea to form a medical board with 21 doctors from various specialities.

Apollo Hospitals had asked the commission in December to form a medical panel saying that serious errors were made when the depositions made by the doctors were recorded by the commission. Apollo Hospitals said that the errors have occurred as the commission could not comprehend the medical terminology.
