J&K: 3 detained in Poonch on suspicion of aiding terrorists

Security forces have detained three people at Mendhar in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on suspicion of aiding terrorists who are hiding in the forests.

The detained persons are being questioned. It is suspected that they provided logistical support to the terrorists.

The action comes a day after nine army personnel were killed during a week-long counter-terror operation in Mendhar. The objective of the operation was to flush out terrorists hiding in the forested area.
