India sees single-day spike of 2.11 lakh Covid-19 cases

India has recorded a spike of 2.11 lakh fresh Covid-19 cases and 3,847 deaths over the past 24 hours. While the daily Covid-19 cases have once slightly again gone up, the death toll has scaled below the 4,000-mark.

Top five states which registered the highest Covid-19 cases on Wednesday are Tamil Nadu with 33,764 cases, followed by Kerala with 28,798 cases, Karnataka with 26,811 cases, Maharashtra with 24,752 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 18,285 cases.

India also recorded 3,847 deaths in the last 24 hours. The maximum Covid casualties have been reported in Maharashtra with 992 deaths, followed by Karnataka with 530 deaths.
