Himachal Pradesh PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh extended his “full support” for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) even as his party, the Congress, opposed it. The issue of a UCC has caused a rift among the opposition parties. Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party gave its "in-principle" support for a UCC, followed by Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) which said the party always wanted such legislation.
