Heavy rains wreak havoc in Uttarakhand

As a result of torrential rains for two consecutive days, Uttarakhand is witnessing overflowing rivers and scary landslides apart from flooding in the low-lying areas.

The water level of the Ganga has risen and is currently flowing 40 ft above the danger mark in Rishikesh. This is the highest it has been since the deluge in 2013.
