Delhi freezing at 1.1° Celsius; cold wave to continue in North India

A severe cold wave swept Delhi on New Year's Day as the mercury plummeted to 1.1° Celsius, the lowest in 15 years. The minimum of 1.1° Celsius was recorded by the Safdarjung Observatory.
