We will just sit at home this time: Children in Kashmir share their plight as they celebrate Eid amid curfew

As the people of Jammu and Kashmir geared up to celebrate Eid amid tight security and curfew, children in the valley shared their experiences of Eid. The children said that this year their Eid is a little bland as the restrictions are not letting them enjoy to the fullest. They added that they used to burst firecrackers but since everything is shut right now they will just enjoy at home.

The Narendra Modi-led government last week had revoked Article 370 from the valley. Amarnath Yatra was suspended and heavy deployment of armed forces was made before the government announced its decision. The valley continues to be under heavy deployment of security and the phone and internet services are still snapped.
