Chidambaram to Centre: Will you name an individual only because you believe he's involved in terrorism?

Anti-Terror Bill row: P Chidambaram in Rajya Sabha said if you see reasons for amendment, it says 'to empower NIA'. In passing you say 'empowers Centre to add or remove an individual's name as a terrorist', this mischief is why we are opposing this amendment, we are not opposing Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The UAPA Bill empowers the government to designate individuals as terrorists. The same was taken up by the Rajya Sabha for discussion just a week after it was passed by the Lok Sabha.
