Assam floods: More than 37 lakh people affected, death toll mounts to 73

The flood situation in Assam persists to dwindle as two more deaths were reported in the state on Friday taking total death toll to 73.

The floodwaters in the state are receding in some parts after incessant rains over the last few days, which has affected more than 37 lakh people from 26 districts of Assam.

As many as 49,977 people are currently taking shelter at 300 relief camps set up in the flood affected districts. For more, watch the full video.
