Amruta Fadnavis: 'I'm Overwhelmed About The Way BJP Has Performed Across 29 Mahanagar Palitikas'

In an exclusive interview with India Today, banker and social worker Amruta Fadnavis discusses the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) performance in the Maharashtra local body elections. Fadnavis expressed her joy, stating, "I'm very happy and overwhelmed about the way BJP has performed across 29 Mahanagar palitikas." She attributed the success of the Mahayuti alliance to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the hard work of Devendra Fadnavis, whom she described as the "infra man for Maharashtra." The conversation highlighted the significant role of women and youth voters, with Fadnavis noting that they have rejected the politics of caste and language in favour of development and transparency. She emphasized that the mandate carries "great expectations" and stressed the importance of addressing the needs of common citizens, especially since many corporations had been without representatives for several years. Fadnavis also advocated for increased female participation in politics to strengthen the voices of women at the highest levels of governance.
