Arunachal CM Pema Khandu appeals for calm amid tension over PRC

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu appealed to the state to remain calm amid protests over recommendation of permanent resident certificate (PRC) to non-natives of Arunachal Pradesh . Khandu assured that the government will never take up the issue of granting permanent resident certificate (PRC) to the six communities of Arunachal Pradesh.

"I would like to appeal to all those protesting that their demand had already been accepted by the government on February 22 itself. PRC issue is closed. I request the protesters to not hold protests or dharna and cooperate with government," Khandu said.
