AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj's home raided by ED in hospital construction scam

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting raids at 13 locations in Delhi, including the residence of Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj, in connection with an alleged hospital construction scam. The anti-corruption branch of the Delhi government had previously registered a case against Bhardwaj and former health minister Satyendra Jain over alleged corruption in health infrastructure projects. The investigation pertains to 24 hospital projects sanctioned in 2018-2019, which officials state are affected by delays, cost escalations, and suspected embezzlement of public funds. The probe is examining the allocation and use of funds intended for the construction and renewal of these hospitals. According to the reporter, the initial investigation suggests that allocated funds to the tune of over 500 crores were not utilized as intended.
