The Maharashtra Police on Tuesday paid tribute to Police Officer Vidyap Jadhav, who died in a plane crash in Baramati while on duty. In a post shared on social media, the state police expressed condolences over Jadhav’s death, calling it an accidental demise in the line of duty. “Heartfelt tribute to Police Officer Vidyap Jadhav, who was serving in the Mumbai Police Force, on his accidental demise while on duty,” the post read.

Maharashtra Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the death of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, saying he was very close to his family. Bawankule said they had shared joys and sorrows for over 22 years and described their bond as unbreakable, adding that Maharashtra has suffered a great loss and the incident was truly heartbreaking.

Learjet manufacturer Bombardier expressed deep sorrow over the tragic aircraft crash that claimed the life of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

In a statement, Bombardier said it was deeply saddened by the incident and extended its sincerest sympathies to all those affected. The company said it could not comment on the possible cause of the accident until the investigation is completed and added that it will fully support the investigation authorities, including implementing any recommendations if required.

Following an urgent request from civic authorities after the tragic aircraft crash at Baramati Airport, the Indian Air Force has deployed a dedicated team of Air Warriors. The team is providing essential basic Air Traffic Control (ATC) and meteorological services to ensure safe air operations from the site. The move highlights the IAF’s commitment to national service during emergencies.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu is holding a high-level meeting on the Baramati plane crash with senior officials, including MoCA Secretary Samir Sinha, DG DGCA Faiz Kidwai, Airports Authority of India Director Vipin Kumar, and Joint Secretary Asangba.

The mortal remains of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar are being taken from Punyashloka Ahilya Devi Government Hospital to Vidya Pratishthan for Antim Darshan.

Reacting to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee raising suspicion over the Maharashtra Deputy CM plane crash, BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya said she was doing politics over a tragic incident. He said such remarks put West Bengal to shame before the entire country and were not expected from a Chief Minister.

NCP leaders Nawab Malik and Zeeshan Siddique arrived at Vidya Pratishthan to pay their last respects to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar.

UBT Sena MLC Sachin Ahir raised doubts over the plane crash and demanded a thorough investigation into the incident. He said all aspects of the crash must be probed in detail to establish the cause.
