Heavy rain triggers landslides, floods in Himachal Pradesh, red alert issued | In pics

The Beas River swelled due to incessant rains in Bhuntar, in Himachal's Kullu district. Heavy rain resulted in significant landslides along the Beas River.

A stretch on the Manali-Chandigarh highway was washed away, following heavy monsoon rains in Manali on Sunday. The highway was reopened after 24 hours. 

Transport department officials stated that bus services on 1,255 routes of the Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) were suspended and 576 buses were stranded at different places on the route.
