We were out-marketed: Sonia Gandhi on 2014 election loss

Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi launched an all out attack on the Narendra Modi government at India Today Conclave 2018 today in Mumbai. She said that the Modi government has failed to fulfill the promises made during the election campaign in the run up to 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Days ahead of her meeting with several Opposition leaders, Sonia Gandhi said that it was a difficult task for many Opposition parties to come together at the national level as these are rivals on the ground in states but "if we think about the larger picture and we care for the country, we will have to come together."
