Nita Ambani narrates inspiring stories of youngsters who dared to dream

Sports and education are the two pillars on which 'India tomorrow' will rise, Reliance Foundation founder-chairperson Nita Ambani said Saturday at the India Today Conclave in Mumbai.

Her husband, Reliance Industries Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, was in the audience to listen to her talk, titled 'The Great Equaliser: Sports and Education For All'.

Nita Ambani detailed her organisation's efforts to contribute to the development of sports and education in India. For instance, she announced the establishment of a number of schools, as well as plans to set up a world-class university at the cutting edge of innovation. She revealed that her foundation's grassroots programme had reached out to 13 million budding sportspeople and athletes.

Nita Ambani laid stress on the importance of capitalising on India's large population of young people, and the demographic dividend. Failure to act would turn that into demographic despair, she warned.
