Bigg Boss Tamil 9 grand finale live: Divya Ganesan crowned winner, Sabari 1st runner-up

The live blog of Bigg Boss Tamil 9 has come to an end.

Divya Ganesan has been announced as the winner of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9. She received the trophy, cash prize worth Rs 50 lakh and a Maruti Suzuki car. Sabarinathan won the first runner-up.

Vikkals Vikram, a stand-up comedian and actor was eliminated from the show. He became the second runner-up of Bigg Boss Tamil 9. Vikram was appreciated for his calculated gameplay and sportive nature.

Sabarinathan, Divya Ganesan and Vikkals Vikram, the three finalists of Bigg Boss Tamil 9, joined Vijay Sethupathi on stage.

VJ Parvathy, who was handed over a red card for her instigating behaviour, attended the show. She said, "There are so many emotions in my mind, but I am happy that I am back. It was a roller-coaster ride. The house has seen me cry, smile, love and anger. I was devastated when I received the red card. Sandra, I am really sorry for everything that I've done. " 

Sandra walked up to the Parvathy and hugged her. Parvathy said, "I looked up at the house and not the contestants who didn't come to send me off." She then thanked the fans who supported her.

Bigg Boss bid an emotional goodbye to the three finalists, Vikram, Sabarinathan and Divya Ganesan, reminding them of how they have survived on the show for 106 days without any contact with the outside world. He then asked them to take one last look at the house, after which the lights were switched off. This made rhe finalists tear up.

Ma Ka Pa Anand hosted a debate show featuring contestants from previous seasons – Manjari, Raju Jeyamohan, Muthukumaran and Deepak. The topic is should the contestants participating in a show be a good guy or a good player?

Real-life couple Sandra and Prajean gave a romantic performance to Dheema Dheema, Ennai Thedi Kadhal and Pottala Muttaye songs. 

Aurora Sinclar's final moments inside Bigg Boss Tamil 9 were full of fun, joy, smiles and dance.

Amit Bhargav, another wildcard contestant, performed the Ponmayile song – which he wrote and composed – with his daughter Veda.

Vijay Sethupathi and Bigg Boss introduced the trophy of this season. Bigg Boss then asked the three finalists to talk to the trophy, conveying their dreams.

Joining Vijay Sethupathi on stage, Aurora Sinclair said, "My days inside the Bigg Boss house were fun. I expected to be in the Top 3. I didn't expect this. I was in a comfort zone inside the house, conveying my feelings to only one person and when that one person was evicted, I felt so low. I gained courage only when I felt that I might be evicted." 

She talked about her future plans and said, "I want to study further. I liked a certain lifestyle. Other than being pretty, I felt that I didn't know anything else beyond beauty. At that time, I decided that I needed to learn to sustain for the next 40 years. That's why I saved some money."

Bigg Boss wished Aurora great things in life, which moved her to tears. Sabarinathan lifted her and started dancing, while Vikram and Divya joined them. 

Aurora Sinclair has been eliminated from the show. The finalists were taken to the activity room where several gifts were packed. They were asked to unwrap the boxes and find a name card of the person who was about to be eliminated. Aurora hugged everyone, bid everyone goodbye and was moved to tears when Bigg Boss spoke to her.

Gana Vinoth, who is known for his funny lyrics, performed a special song describing Bigg Boss Tamil 9 journey. 

Vijay Sethupathi gifted personalised miniature sets of the four finalists inside the Bigg Boss house. Vikram, Divya, Aurora and Sabari were blown away looking at the precision. 

Vijay Sethupathi entered the Bigg Boss house while performers were dancing to Polakattum Para Para song.

Sabarinathan gave a wise yet motivational talk to himself while looking at himself in the mirror. 

Divya Ganesan was moved to tears while talking to herself in the mirror. She spoke about how she learnt to face people who wronged and hurt her inside the house. Bigg Boss's encouraging words left her in tears.
