TMC workers attack BJP candidate in West Bengal

Soon after polling in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 commenced at 7 am on Monday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from West Bengal's Barrackpore constituency alleged that he was attacked by workers from Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC).

BJP candidate Arjun Singh slammed the state's ruling party and accused it of indulging in violence.

The BJP candidate had got into a scuffle with state police personnel but Arjun Singh alleged that he was attacked by TMC workers in the presence of the police authorities.
