India Today exposes how fake Covid-19 test reports are being sold in UP

As the nation battles the Covid-19 crisis, India Today's special investigation team has exposed how some unscrupulous elements are issuing false Covid reports at some state-run hospitals for money.

India Today's investigative reporter visited several healthcare facilities following a tip that some of their laboratory employees were engaged in malpractices.

At Kanpur's UHM District Hospital laboratory, technician Amit demanded Rs 1,500 when the undercover reporter probed him about a false positive report.

The lab technician took no sample, conducted no lab examination but guaranteed a Covid positive report on demand.
