CCTV footage of Nikki Yadav before her murder in Delhi

India Today has accessed CCTV footage of Nikki Yadav before her murder. In the footage, Nikki Yadav can be seen walking out of her hostel in Delhi's Uttam Nagar. She was allegedly strangulated by her live-in partner, identified as Sahil Gahlot, who married another woman hours after dumping her body in a fridge.

According to the preliminary investigation, the 24-year-old accused told Delhi Police that in 2018, he met the victim, Nikki Yadav, at a coaching centre in Uttam Nagar area. Some time later, they entered a relationship and started living together.

Sahil Gahlot said that his family was putting pressure on him to get married with some other woman and finally in December 2022, the engagement and marriage of the accused were fixed for February 9 and 10, respectively.
