Jawa, Jawa Forty Two: Price-colour combination explained

Classic Legends had launched the BS6 Jawa and the BS6 Jawa Forty Two in India in March. Their deliveries have commenced across the country now. Not only are the two motorcycles impressive in terms of technical specifications, but they have some intriguing colour options as well.

The BS6 Jawa is available in three different colours -- Black, Grey and Maroon. The BS6 Jawa Forty Two gets as many as six distinct paint schemes -- Haley's Teal, Starlight Blue, Lumos Lime, Comet Red, Galactic Green and Nebula Blue.

Both Jawa and Jawa Forty Two are powered by the same BS6-compliant, 293cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that belts out 26.51PS of max power and 27.05Nm of peak torque. The mill is paired with a 6-speed constant-mesh gearbox. The motorcycles sit on a double-cradle frame. The front has telescopic hydraulic fork, 18-inch tyre and 280mm disc, while the rear gets twin hydraulic shocks, 17-inch tyre and 240mm disc/153 drum. The customers can choose between single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS.
