Sensex ends 944 points higher: Why stock market rose today?
The S&P BSE Sensex rallied 943.52 points to close at 81,666.46, while the NSE Nifty50 added 262.95 points to end at 25,088.40.

The S&P BSE Sensex rallied 943.52 points to close at 81,666.46, while the NSE Nifty50 added 262.95 points to end at 25,088.40.

The S&P BSE Sensex closed 296.59 points lower at 82,269.78, while the NSE Nifty50 lost 98.25 points to end at 25,320.65.

The S&P BSE Sensex was down by 491.22 points to 82,075.15, while the NSE Nifty50 tanked 163.95 points to 25,254.95 as of 9:25 am.
The Nifty 50 closed 0.3% higher at 25,418.90, while the BSE Sensex rose 0.27% to end at 82,566.37. Both indices recovered after falling around 0.8% earlier in the day, as buying returned in heavyweight stocks.
