Video: Al Jazeera's Gaza bureau chief loses entire family in Israeli airstrike

Al Jazeera's chief correspondent in Gaza Wael Dahdouh lost four members of his family in an Israeli airstrike on October 25. 

The victims included Dahdouh's wife, son, and daughter, with his grandson declared dead two hours later. The devastating news reached Dahdouh while he was broadcasting live images of the besieged territory's night sky. 

Al Jazeera released a heart-wrenching video showing Dahdouh entering al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza, overcome with grief as he looked upon his deceased son. The video showcased the grim reality of the ongoing conflict.

Dahdouh, a revered figure in his native Gaza, is known for his relentless efforts to bring the stories of suffering and hardship faced by Palestinians to the global stage.

The Israeli airstrike that claimed the lives of Dahdouh's family members hit Nuseirat Refugee Camp, an area where residents had been advised to seek safety.
