U.S. Divided: New York's firm but cautious position on Donald Trump's victory

While Republican candidate former president Donald Trump has emerged victorious in a dramatic comeback, the state of New York has taken a firm but cautious approach towards the president-elect. New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York’s Attorney General Letitia James made a public statement stating New York’s position. They congratulated him and welcomed him, and hoped to work with his administration. But they also highlighted that New York continues to remain true to its citizens and their rights, is aware and proud of its legacy, and will fight back again!
