Taliban leaders hold meeting with former Afghan President Hamid Karzai

Amid efforts to set up a new government in Afghanistan, a delegation of Taliban leaders met former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai and other officials on Wednesday.

With the fleeing of ex-President Ashraf Ghani, the former first Vice-President Amrullah Saleh has declared himself to be the legitimate caretaker president of Afghanistan.
