Nepal President says making all efforts to find a solution

Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel has released a statement saying he is making efforts to find a solution for the country within the constitutional framework. He stated that he is “engaged in consultations to safeguard democracy and to maintain peace and order in the nation.” This comes as the army leadership is in talks with Gen Z protester delegations in Kathmandu to decide on the formation of an interim government. The President's role will be to officially sign off on the decision. However, there are reservations amongst Gen Z activists regarding the inclusion of pro-monarchy figures like Durga Parsai. Amid the political negotiations, visuals from Kathmandu show significant devastation to a police traffic headquarters and residential complex, a stark contrast to the untouched royal palace.
