Israel strikes 6 Iranian military airports, destroys 15 aircraft amid rising tensions

Israel has confirmed striking six Iranian military airports across western, eastern and central Iran. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) used remotely piloted aircraft to destroy 15 jets and helicopters, including F-14s, F-5s and AH-1s. This action aims to degrade Iran's ability to counter Israeli airstrikes. The targeted bases include Parchin and Tehran airbases. Iran had previously carried out missile attacks on 10 locations in Israel, including Haifa city. The ongoing escalation raises concerns about a potential wider conflict, with Iran threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz.
