Ilad Daniels, an Indian-origin Jew who is a Captain of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said he came to Israel from Boston, where he was pursuing his PhD, "to help my comrades". Speaking to India Today's Senior Executive Editor Gaurav Sawant at the Gaza border on the 13th day of the ongoing war, Daniels said the Israeli forces are preparing for an offense aimed to restore "some resolution to this conflict".
