Howard County police discovered Godishala’s body with stab wounds in Sharma’s Columbia apartment on January 3, a day after he reported her missing. Authorities revealed that Sharma, 26, flew to India on January 2, the same day he filed the missing person report. A warrant has been issued for his arrest on first and second-degree murder charges. The bulletin notes that 'police later learned that on the same day as making the report, that is January 2nd, Sharma left the country on a flight to India.'
