Normalcy is returning to Birgunj after days of violent protests, with shops reopening and streets bustling as curfew restrictions ease. The unrest, triggered by a social media ban, gave way to youth-led demands for accountability and reforms. Amid this, Sushila Karki, former Chief Justice of Nepal’s Supreme Court, was sworn in as the country’s first female Prime Minister on Thursday. Citizens now look to her government for better education, jobs, and an end to corruption.
