Dubai-bound Bangladesh plane makes emergency landing after hijack attempt, suspect arrested

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight made an emergency landing at the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong, following a reported hijack attempt.

According to witnesses and airport officials, the plane, which was on its way to Dubai from Dhaka via Chittagong, landed at the airport around 5:40 pm on Sunday.

A gunman had tried to take command of the cockpit, leading to the emergency landing.

The suspect has now been arrested.

All the passengers and crew members were unharmed, he added.
