Donald Trump threatens to permanently freeze WHO funding

US President Donald Trump wrote to the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Tuesday saying that the US would freeze its funding permanently and reconsider its membership in the organisation if it does not commit to major substantive improvements within the next 30 days.

Donald Trump suspended US contributions to the WHO last month, accusing it of promoting China's "disinformation" about the novel coronavirus outbreak, although WHO officials denied the accusation and China said it was transparent and open. Watch report.
