Taliban threatens US of consequences if troops stay beyond deadline of August 31

The Taliban say any delay in the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan will have consequences for the United States, and the date set -- August 31 -- is the Taliban's red line.

US President Joe Biden earlier said his troops could stay on in Kabul after August 31 to help evacuate civilians.
